The new year seems to be the best time for most of us to regroup and refocus. Many of us take this time to set New Years resolutions, new goals and new rules for ourselves. Wait, wait, WAIT, that seems pretty restrictive and just, well, not fun! Yuck! Maybe that’s why so many people quit their New Years resolutions by the end of January! Who wants to think ‘I can’t do this’ ‘I won’t do that’. Sounds like a lot of rules & restrictions and a pretty boring 2015!
Let’s put a positive spin on it! I want to make 2015 about what I WILL do!
I have been thinking about what I want my year to LOOK like. What do I want my health & fitness to LOOK like over the next 365 days. What about my finances? My business? My family? My walk with God? Instead of looking at the new year as a list of rules let’s look at it like another year to build more dreams.
Here’s how I will make my 2015 dreams come true!
1. Brainstorm what I want my year to look like in all areas: spiritual, relationships, family, finances, business, physical, lifestyle
2. Narrow it down to 5 -10 dreams to focus on.
3. Make a dream board
4. Do my homework! How will I make my year become my dream? What will I have to sacrifice? What will I have to do daily?
5. Write out my dream year in multiple positive first person statements with specifics, including measurements & dates as if it’s already happened.
6. Find accountability in every area (fitness support groups, Sunday school class, spouse, best friend, new friend, etc)
7. Look at dream board DAILY!!!
Here is my dream board and what my Dreams for 2015 will look like:
My 2015 will be the year of CONSISTENCY!
1. I help 3 people a month on getting their healthier lifestyle started.
2. I put xx dollars a month into savings for my kids’ future.
I put xxx dollars a month into savings for our new home. We started building this new home in 2019 debt free.
4. I drink 70+ oz of water a day and eat clean 80-90% of the time.
5. I read the Bible 10 minutes a day as soon as I wake up at 5:00am so I know that my day is started on the right direction. I also do 10 minutes of personal development a day.
6. I have saved xxx dollars by June 1st to go to Nashville, TN. in summer 2015.
7. I look to others who are successful in areas that I want to be successful. I model their success and adjust it according to my principles.
Will you share your 2015 Dream with me? I would love to be part of your journey. Send me your positive dream statements, Be sure to include details on how you will make your dreams come true. Send me a picture of your dream board! I want to see you create the 2015 of your dreams!!
