Q. What is your blog about?
Me! (Can you tell I am the youngest? It’s all about me 😉 But honestly, it is really about me sharing my life and experiences with you in hopes that it can help you get healthier or even make you feel a little normal knowing that I am just as stressed and crazy as all the other moms are!
I want to share with you my journey to get healthier, get my family healthier, how I got here, how I get my kids to eat their veggies and how I fit workouts in with a to do list just as long as the next chicks.
Q. Where else can I find you?
Usually in my car driving to all the activities my family goes too or in my tiny pole barn house, in the middle of a field, in a small Indiana town! Oh you mean in the world of social media and the world wide web? I am on Twitter, Pinterest, instagram and mostly on Facebook.
Q. What about your husband and kids?Â
I am married to Seth Farmer (farmer by name and trade). We have been married since 2006. We are pretty much polar opposites in most areas except where it counts—money, kids, politics and religion. He is the reserved, private one who slides into a room and sits against the way. I am the one who, if around a group of 8 or less, will bounce into the room, screw up the punch line to the joke I am telling too loud and dance with anyone who is willing! Note that I said 8 people or less. If the group gets too much larger then I become my quiet husband. We have 3 little monkeys that are growing too fast! Our daughter is 5 going on 17, our oldest boy is 2 and our baby boy is a newborn.
Q. What is your job?
Job? Who told you I had a job? Or maybe I should say, ‘which job are you speaking of?’
I am a full-time mom except the 2 days a week that I work as a cosmetologist. I am also a full-time health coach & wellness advocate, running trainings and challenges for those who want to focus on their fitness and nutrition. You can be in my free private Facebook group and have access to what’s going on in my life as well as others going through a similar journey. Just join here.
Q. What are your qualifications to do all of these ‘jobs’ and advise others on their health?
My ‘qualifications’ starts with having an art education degree from St Mary’s of the Woods, a license in cosmetology and a training certification from ACT/ACTION and American Sport & Fitness, as well as being a Wellness Advocate. But most important, I have my own personal experience and research. Those are the things that I want to share with you the most. I just want to give you a glimps into my life instead of sharing with you the technical terms, the textbook suggestion and the medical explanations. Snooze! If you are like me, you want to hear what a real person, with real life issues and challenges things, feels and does with products, kids, husbands and being healthy!
